Yep. I am a published children’s book author as well. My first book, The Forever Dog, deals with a super tough topic, the death of a beloved pet. My publisher, HarperCollins wanted me to be “the guy who wrote books about tough topics”, so my next book was about divorce. Ultimately, it turns out I have much more fun writing advertising than books about tough topics, but the letters and emails I’ve received from grateful parents who've read my books is pretty tough to beat.

I wrote this after my golden retriever, Mo, died while she was still very young (I was about 27). I also met my wife at a Forever Dog book signing at Barnes & Noble. So, the book has been a pretty big part of my life.

Dedicated this one to my parents. It’s autobiographical-ish. Also, I fought as hard as I could for a simpler title. But I am still super proud of this book.
